Tips

A tip is a small filter placed at the end of a roll-up. It is most often made of cardboard, although versions made of glass, wood, metal or other reusable materials also exist.

A tip is mainly used to keep the opening of the roll-up in shape, improve its stability and make it easier to handle. It also helps limit the passage of small plant particles while maintaining a regular airflow.

Tips are among the accessories most commonly used with rolling papers. They can be purchased pre-cut or made by hand from a suitable strip of cardboard.

In everyday language, the terms tip and filter are often used together. However, a cardboard tip primarily serves to provide support and comfort, unlike certain filters designed to retain some particles or smoke.
