The GVA City Basic Small booklet is aimed at people looking for short papers. Each sheet measures 70 × 36 mm, and the booklet contains 100 sheets. Filters are not included and can therefore be chosen separately.
These dimensions create a compact format that is less elongated than King Size Slim cuts. The booklet contains 100 unflavoured sheets, without filters. It is therefore suitable for anyone who wants only the paper in this small format.
The paper is made from a blend of natural fibres sourced from sustainably managed operations. The selected plant materials are processed at high temperature to obtain purified pulp.
The TCF treatment, meaning “Totally Chlorine Free”, excludes chlorine from the bleaching stage. This paper was designed by GVA City, a Swiss brand. Its grammage is 13 g/m².
The adhesive strip is based on gum arabic prepared from acacia sap and water. This plant-based gum contains no GMOs.
During pressing, the GVACITY watermark is incorporated into the paper structure. It serves as an authenticity marker specific to these sheets. The Basic Small therefore combines a short format, a booklet of 100 sheets and TCF paper without added flavouring.
The dimensions of 70 × 36 mm can also be expressed as 7 × 3.6 cm. They describe the cut of each sheet, while the 100 sheets correspond to the booklet’s contents. The compact format takes up little space, making it easy to carry. The dimensions and number of sheets therefore answer two separate questions when choosing rolling paper.
The grammage of 13 g/m² expresses the mass of one square metre of paper. It corresponds neither to the total weight of the booklet nor to the dimensions of one sheet. This unit makes it possible to compare the mass of paper over an equal area, whereas the Small cut indicates the available length and width. For the Basic Small, the format, grammage and quantity are therefore documented separately.
GVA City is presented as the first Swiss brand specialising in rolling papers. For the Basic Small, it developed a paper made from a blend of natural fibres sourced from sustainably managed operations. The selected fibres are processed at high temperature to obtain purified pulp before the finishing stages.
The TCF designation specifically concerns bleaching. “Totally Chlorine Free” means that this stage is carried out without chlorine. This treatment provides additional information about the plant-based origin of the fibres, but should be distinguished from the gum and watermark.
The GVACITY watermark is incorporated into the paper structure during pressing and serves as an authenticity marker. The adhesive strip, for its part, is based on gum arabic prepared with acacia sap and water. This gum is plant-based and contains no GMOs. The finished sheet therefore combines several independent elements: the fibre blend, the bleaching treatment, the integrated watermark and the adhesive strip.

Ultra-thin papers, virtually imperceptible when burning. No unwanted taste, even burn. I’ve used only GVA papers for years.
