Angel Cake is a Qualicann CBD flower variety cultivated in the Zurich Oberland. Its very light, compact buds, complex aromatic profile and high CBD concentration place this product in the premium segment.

Light green buds with a very compact structure

The flowers have a vivid light green colour and a particularly dense, compact structure. Their knobbly shape, close to an indica morphology, refers to the form of the harvested buds. Numerous resinous trichomes cover their surface, while orange pistils provide clearly defined colour accents.

This combination of bright colour, compact shape and visible resin coating defines the appearance of Angel Cake. The carefully finished buds retain their characteristic relief while presenting a consistent appearance.

Fruit, earthy and then Kush notes

The aromatic profile develops in several stages. The initial note is fruity, with a slightly bitter nuance. Soft earthy notes then come through, followed by a finish in which pine and Kush become more prominent. The overall profile remains intense and balanced, with facets that linger without any one note dominating.

The plant itself gives off an intensely lemony scent with a Haze facet. This vegetal olfactory character complements the broader profile of the harvested flowers.

Living Soil, hybrid lighting and hand trimming

Angel Cake grows in the Zurich Oberland in a Living Soil substrate. In general terms, Living Soil refers to a substrate designed around active biological life. The lighting combines ND and LED; the abbreviation ND is retained as it appears in the production data.

After harvesting, the flowers are hand-trimmed. This hand-trim stage corresponds to manual finishing of the buds. They then undergo two weeks of curing, meaning a refinement stage after drying. The cultivation location, substrate, lighting and post-harvest work therefore form a consistent production profile.

Angel Cake’s cannabinoid profile

CBD content reaches up to 24%. Angel Cake is therefore among the highly concentrated CBD flowers in the Qualicann range. The other listed cannabinoids complete this profile without implying any medical effect or particular result:

  • THC: below 1%
  • CBG: 0.3%
  • CBC: 0.9%
  • CBN: below 0.1%

The batches sold by Gaiabis comply with Swiss legislation.

Canadian genetics with a strongly sativa growth habit

The genetics originate from Canada. While the harvested buds develop a knobbly shape close to an indica morphology, the plant as a whole develops a pronounced sativa growth habit and delicate leaves. It is suited to dry, cold climates, but its cultivation requires patience and experience; it is not intended for beginners.

After nine weeks, the plant can reach up to 0.9 metres. Its yield is considered average. These cultivation data describe the plant and remain distinct from the very compact structure of the flowers once harvested.

Storing Angel Cake in suitable conditions

Close the packaging carefully after each opening. Store Angel Cake in a cool, dry place to limit the flowers’ exposure to external influences during storage.

Is CBD legal in Switzerland?

CBD is not subject to narcotics legislation. In Switzerland, hemp containing less than 1% THC does not fall under this legislation, but its sale remains subject to the rules of the relevant product category, for example those governing foodstuffs, cosmetics or tobacco products.

A THC content below 1% is therefore not, on its own, sufficient to determine whether a product can be sold or used for a given purpose.

Do your products contain THC?

Yes. Some of our products may contain THC, but always in quantities below 1%, in accordance with Swiss legislation. This level is too low to cause psychoactive effects. All our products are legal, tested and compliant with the applicable Swiss requirements.

What is the difference between CBD and THC?

CBD (cannabidiol) and THC (tetrahydrocannabinol) are two cannabis molecules.

CBD is not psychoactive: it does not produce a “high”.

THC is the substance responsible for psychotropic effects.
Our products are rich in CBD and contain little or no THC.
