Indoor vs Greenhouse vs Outdoor: what are the differences?

When looking for CBD flowers or hemp-derived products, you will often come across the terms Indoor, Greenhouse or Outdoor. These terms do not refer to a cannabis variety, but to the cultivation method used.

The cultivation method influences the appearance of the flowers, their density, their aromatic richness, their production cost and sometimes their consistency. However, it is not enough on its own to determine a product's quality: an excellent Outdoor flower can easily outperform an average Indoor flower.

Why distinguish between these cultivation methods?

Outdoor cultivation

Outdoor cultivation consists of growing plants directly outdoors, in their natural environment.

• reduced production cost;

Well-cultivated Outdoor flowers can offer excellent aromatic profiles while remaining highly competitive in terms of price.

Does the cultivation method influence cannabinoids?

Indirectly.

The cultivation method can promote more consistent plant development, but cannabinoid concentration also depends on:

Indoor cultivation is therefore not automatically richer in CBD than Greenhouse or Outdoor cultivation.
