Two solutions for processing payments

When you finalise an order on gaiabis.ch, the payment is not processed by the shop alone. Depending on the method chosen, the transaction goes through the secure infrastructure of Worldline or PostFinance.

This arrangement helps protect sensitive payment information while ensuring a clear process between transaction approval and order registration.

Card payments via Worldline

On gaiabis.ch, Worldline processes payments made with supported credit and debit cards, such as Visa and Mastercard. Card details are transmitted through the secure payment process provided.

Worldline supports the main international credit and debit cards and operates solutions in which card data entry complies with the requirements of the PCI DSS standard.

Gaiabis does not store your complete card details on its servers. The sensitive information required for payment is processed by the specialised provider. Order details and payment status remain separate from this information.

Payment with PostFinance

PostFinance customers can pay for their order in the PostFinance payment environment provided for this purpose. The transaction is verified and confirmed there, without Gaiabis receiving the credentials that provide access to the PostFinance account.

PostFinance is gradually transitioning its online payment methods to PostFinance Pay. The exact wording displayed at the time of payment may therefore differ from that used in an earlier ordering process. Confirmation still takes place in the environment provided by PostFinance.

What secure payment means in practice

An encrypted connection

The payment process uses a connection protected by HTTPS and TLS. This technology encrypts exchanges between your browser and the relevant pages, so that transmitted information is not sent in plain text over a public network.

An encrypted connection provides important protection, but it does not replace your vigilance. Before entering payment information, always check that the address displayed in your browser is correct and that you are indeed on gaiabis.ch or on the expected page of the payment provider.

No storage of complete card details by Gaiabis

When Gaiabis states that it does not store card details, this refers to the sensitive and complete information of your payment method. This does not mean that no order-related data is processed.

The information required to prepare and track your order remains separate from the complete card details. The payment provider communicates, in particular, the status required to confirm or decline the transaction.
