Hemp oil

Hemp oil is a vegetable oil obtained by pressing hemp seeds. Naturally rich in fatty acids, it is used in various fields, including food, cosmetics, care products and certain industrial applications.

Its colour generally ranges from light green to dark green, depending on the varieties used and the production methods. Its taste is often described as vegetal, slightly herbal or reminiscent of nuts.

Origin and production

Hemp oil is produced from the seeds of the hemp plant. It is most often obtained through cold pressing in order to preserve its natural characteristics and composition.

Common uses

This oil is used as a food ingredient and in certain culinary preparations, as well as in cosmetics, soaps, lotions, balms and products intended for skin and hair care.

Hemp oil and CBD oil

Hemp oil should not be confused with CBD oil. Hemp oil is obtained from the seeds, whereas CBD oil contains a hemp extract rich in cannabidiol added to a carrier oil.
