Cannabinoid

A molecule capable of interacting with the endocannabinoid system, naturally present in hemp, produced by the body or obtained through synthesis.

Cannabinoid acid

Natural precursor form of a cannabinoid, produced by the plant before certain chemical transformations.

Cannabis

CBC

CBC, or cannabichromene, is a cannabinoid naturally present in hemp. It is one of the plant's secondary compounds, alongside CBD, CBG, CBN and other cannabinoids.

CBCA

CBCA, or cannabichromenic acid, is a cannabinoid naturally produced by cannabis. It is one of the acidic cannabinoids present in the plant before their transformation through decarboxylation.

CBD

A cannabinoid naturally present in hemp, studied for its interactions with various biological systems and widely used in hemp-based products.

CBDA

CBDA, or cannabidiolic acid, is the natural acidic form of CBD found in living hemp. It is produced by the plant before gradually being converted into CBD through the effects of heat or time.

CBD balm

A cosmetic product combining CBD with a base rich in fats, intended for external application to the skin.

CBD Cartridge

A pre-filled reservoir containing a hemp extract intended for use with a compatible battery, generally of the 510 type.

CBD content

CBD content refers to the amount of cannabidiol present in a hemp-based product. It is generally expressed as a percentage or in milligrams and indicates the CBD concentration of a flower, resin, oil or extract.

CBD E-liquid

A CBD e-liquid is a liquid intended for electronic cigarettes, containing cannabidiol (CBD) and used for vaporisation.

CBD extract

A CBD extract is a preparation obtained from hemp to concentrate cannabidiol and, depending on the method used, other natural compounds such as cannabinoids, terpenes or flavonoids.

CBDV

CBDV (cannabidivarin) is a cannabinoid naturally present in certain hemp and cannabis varieties. Its structure is similar to that of CBD, but it is less common and is still being studied.

CBG

CBG, or cannabigerol, is a cannabinoid naturally present in hemp. It is often considered a fundamental cannabinoid because several other important cannabinoids in the plant are derived from its natural precursors.

CBGA

CBGA, or cannabigerolic acid, is a cannabinoid naturally produced by the cannabis plant. It is the precursor of several major cannabinoids, including CBD, THC and CBC.

CBGV

CBGV, or cannabigerovarin, is a cannabinoid naturally present in small quantities in certain hemp varieties. Belonging to the “varin” cannabinoid family, it is derived from CBGVA and is currently being researched to better understand its role within the plant and its interactions with the endocannabinoid system.

CBN

CBN, or cannabinol, is a cannabinoid naturally present in hemp. It appears mainly as certain cannabinoids change and oxidise over time, particularly under the influence of light, air or heat.

CBN-A

CBN-A, or cannabinolic acid, is the natural acidic form of CBN. It mainly appears during the gradual degradation of THCA and is a cannabinoid naturally present in small quantities in the cannabis plant.

Citrusy notes

Citrusy notes refer to aromas and flavours reminiscent of fresh citrus fruits—lemon, lime and bergamot—found in certain cannabis or hemp varieties. They contribute to the aromatic profile of a flower, resin or extract.

COA

The COA (Certificate of Analysis) is a laboratory document presenting the results of analyses performed on a product, including its cannabinoid composition and compliance.

Cola

A large main flower located at the top of a hemp plant, generally the most developed and largest.

Combustion

Reaction produced when a material burns under the effect of heat and oxygen.

Concentrate

A concentrate is a product obtained by isolating or bringing together some of the compounds naturally present in hemp. Depending on the method used, concentrates may contain cannabinoids, terpenes or other constituents.

CO₂ extraction

A method of extraction using pressurised carbon dioxide to isolate certain compounds present in hemp.

Crumble

Crumble is a hemp concentrate characterised by a dry, crumbly and light texture. Its appearance often resembles crumbs or a material that crumbles easily between the fingers.

Cured

The term cured indicates that hash has undergone a period of maturation or curing after production. During this phase, its texture, consistency and aromatic profile may evolve. Cured does not designate a production method: Dry Sift, Static Sift or Ice-O-Lator can be cured or not.

Curing

A finishing stage that follows the drying of hemp flowers in order to stabilise their moisture content and gradually develop their aromatic characteristics.

Cutting

Plant fragment taken and then rooted to produce a new plant genetically identical to the original plant.
