What is Static Sift?

Static Sift is a purification technique used in the world of cannabis concentrates. Its aim is to improve kief purity by separating trichomes from plant particles through the properties of static electricity.

This method is considered an evolution of traditional sifting and is part of solventless mechanical extraction processes.

How does Static Sift work?

The principle is based on the difference in behaviour between trichomes and plant debris when exposed to an electrostatic charge. Using suitable tools, certain plant contaminants can be attracted or repelled differently from trichome heads.

This separation makes it possible to obtain cleaner material with a higher concentration of trichomes.

A purification technique

Static Sift is generally not used to produce kief directly, but to improve kief already obtained through sifting. It is therefore an additional refinement step intended to increase the purity of the final product.
