Bubble Hash

Bubble Hash is a resin obtained through a mechanical extraction method using ice water, ice and filter bags with different mesh sizes. This technique separates the trichomes from the plant material in order to collect a natural resin concentrate rich in cannabinoids, terpenes and other compounds present in hemp. Bubble Hash is one of the solventless extraction methods, since no chemical solvent is used during its production.
This method is now widely used in the hemp and cannabis sector. It is valued for its ability to preserve a large proportion of the plant's natural characteristics while producing a concentrate whose quality depends mainly on the raw material and the precision of the production process.
The principle of ice-water extraction
Bubble Hash production is based on the physical properties of trichomes. When the flowers are agitated in ice water, the trichomes become more brittle and gradually detach from the plant material.
The mixture is then filtered through several filter bags, often called Bubble Bags, whose different mesh sizes make it possible to collect trichomes according to their diameter. After filtration, the resin is carefully dried to obtain the final product.
Why is it called Bubble Hash?
The term Bubble Hash literally means “hash that makes bubbles”. This name comes from the behaviour of certain resins particularly rich in trichomes when they are heated. Depending on their purity and the amount of residual plant material, they may produce small bubbles on the surface.
Although this characteristic is often associated with high-quality products, it also depends on many factors related to the production process and the composition of the concentrate.
A trichome-rich composition
Bubble Hash consists mainly of trichomes. These naturally contain cannabinoids such as CBD, CBG, CBC or CBN, as well as terpenes, flavonoids and many other compounds present in hemp.
The final composition varies according to the plant's genetics, growing conditions, the quality of the flowers used, the fineness of the filtration and the drying methods applied after extraction.
Bubble Hash and Dry Sift
Bubble Hash and Dry Sift pursue the same objective: separating the trichomes from the plant material. The main difference lies in the method used. Dry Sift relies on dry sieving, while Bubble Hash uses ice water and filter bags.
These two techniques belong to the family of solventless mechanical extractions and produce concentrates whose characteristics depend mainly on the quality of the raw material and the producer's expertise.
